Singapore Logistics Association represents Singapore logistics with a mission to promote professionalism and excellence of the logistics industry.

SLA inagurated the Singapore Registry of Accredited Multimodal Transport Operators (MTO Registry) on 6 April 1995.

It is a self-regulatory body which promotes the interest of the freight forwarding industry in Singapore as guided by the UNCTAD/ICC Rules for multimodal transport documents.

The Registry endorses the issuance of the FIATA Multimodal Transport Bill of Lading as one of its stringent membership criteria. The requirement gives sanction to the well-established shipping document, which is based on internationally accepted and recognised terms and conditions.
