To gear up A*STAR for an innovation-driven economy set out by Singapore’s Research Innovation Enterprise (RIE) 2025 masterplan, a new Enterprise division (“Enterprise”) which integrates the functions of the Industry Development Group and A*ccelerate Technologies is established. A*ccelerate Technologies will remain as an entity to commercialise A*STAR’s IP portfolio.

Enterprise will further strengthen A*STAR in generating economic and societal impact for Singapore. Importantly, Enterprise will create opportunities for greater synergies between A*STAR and partners in various types of collaborations, such as research collaborations, licensing, and spin-off efforts.

Enterprise will work across a range of industry clusters including Electronics, Precision Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, Chemicals Materials & Energy, Trade & Logistics, Connectivity, Modern Services, Built Environment, Retail, F&B, Hospitality, Agritech, Agrotech, Food & Consumer, Pharmbio & Biotech, Medtech, Diagnostics, Digital Health and Bioprocessing.

Enterprise will also play a national role in terms of grant administration, and oversee national platforms like DxD Hub and BMS IPO, among others.
