Nano-encapsulation (also known as microemulsion) represents the next generation of skincare products. Traditional skincare cream and lotion formulations combine oil, water and heat to form macro-emulsions with approximately 100 micrometer diameter. Our Micellar Skincare nano-emulsions, scientifically measured at 30 nanometers, are 3000 times smaller than traditional emulsions.

Superior Product Stability
Microemulsions have scientifically proven, thermodynamic stability whilst macro-emulsions will degrade and dissociate over time. Nano-emulsions offer superior product and ingredient stability.
Superior Skin Penetration
Nano-sized emulsions have scientifically proven superior skin penetrating ability over larger macro-sized emulsions. Active skincare ingredients must first pass through the skin barrier to provide their claimed skin benefits. Nano-emulsions offer superior skin penetration for skin active ingredients.
Microemulsions require less energy to form than to dissociate meaning they form spontaneously without heating. Macro-emulsions require energetic heating and vigorous stirring to form meaning inferior environmental sustainability and higher carbon footprint.
The scientific literature points to a definite trend towards nano-encapsulation formulated skincare and pharmaceutical products due to these advantages.
