A*STAR Industrial IoT Innovation (I3) Platform is the first public-private partnership programme in Singapore aimed at developing Industrial IoT technologies and solutions for aftermarket services (outside the factory floor) to enable the connection of industrial products and assets in service. Such technologies allow companies to track and monitor the location, condition, performance, and inventory of their products and assets in use, to obtain a high fidelity, real-time view of where and how their products and assets are being used. These insights can help companies provide predictive maintenance services and improve the development of their products in the future.

I3 is an open platform with technology showcases and application test beds to allow IIoT solutions to be tested before actual deployment and to jointly develop common capabilities through collaboration. The I3 platform aims to create an ecosystem of partners consisting of end-users, technology providers, IHLs, and the A*STAR RIs.
