Strem Chemicals, Inc., established in 1964, manufactures and markets specialty chemicals of high purity. Its clients include academic, industrial and government research and development laboratories as well as commercial scale businesses in the pharmaceutical, microelectronics, chemical and petrochemical industries in over 60 countries.
Strem’s corporate headquarters is located in Newburyport, 38 miles (60km) north of Boston. This facility occupies 48,000 sq. ft. (4,460 m2). The European headquarters and warehouse are located in Bischheim, France.
Experience in Manufacturing High Quality Chemicals - ISO 9001:2015 certified--a wide variety of fine chemicals are available with a special emphasis on organometallics, catalysts and ligands and precursors for thin film deposition. Quality is the most critical component of all products and services. Most products are of high purity, typically at 99%, and some at 99.9999% metals purity.

Custom synthesis services and process development are conducted under the strictest confidence for inorganic and organic synthesis.
For pharmaceutical applications, manufacturing has been conducted under cGMP in kilo-lab suites since 1988. Active Drug Master Files are also maintained in North America and Europe. Strem’s facilities are FDA inspected.
The Catalog of Chemicals for Research provides over 5,000 specialty chemicals of high purity. Key product lines include inorganics, organometellics, metal carbonyls, metal catalysts for organic synthesis, ligands, especially phosphines, nanomaterials, Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD) and Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) precursors. Many products are available on a bulk basis.
