Wares proposes an innovative smart meters readers solution to digitalize water and gas distributors networks for both private and public administrators. The solution is based on NbIoT/ 5G data transmission and use OCR and TMR reading technologies.

The solution can be installed within minutes on existing meter, read measurements in real time, transform it to data and send through 5G network to central repository. In contrary to existing solutions, Wares offers AI based anomaly detection, up to 15 years battery lifetime and help to monetized 5G network by high number of IoT devices.

The Wares’s solution consist of three components: Smart Meter Readers, Data Transmissions and Software Elias.

1) Smart Meter Readers:
- Two version of Water Meter Readers: Walter ONE (Bluetooth based) and Walter TWO with 5G Modem enabling NbIoT and LTE CAT M1 data transmissions
Readers equipped with optical (OCR- Optical Character Recognition) and magnetic (TMR- - Tunnel magnetoresistance) reading technologies enable reading digits from analogy meter’s display
- The reader suits most of analogy water meters including ISTA, iTron, Diehl or Kent
Applied technologies and hardware solutions enables long battery duality, for Walter TWO up to 15 years before it needs to be replaced
- Both received IP68 Ingress Protection and can operate in temperature between -4oC to +50C

2) Data Transmission Technology. Wares’ devices enable data transmission in LTE CAT M1, Bluetooth or NbIoT/ 5G technologies.

3) Software Layer
-ELIAS- tailored made SAAS platform enabling number of business functions based on data collected from network of devices
- We use Artificial Neural Network to recognize anomalies and predict water consumption
Application is currently hosted in Microsoft Azure
